Our Mission
At NewYorkCityFM, our mission is to empower New Yorkers through trusted, hyper-local journalism that is accessible, authentic, and accountable. In a city that never sleeps, we aim to keep pace with its dynamic rhythm by covering the most pressing news, the quietest victories, and everything in between.
We stand for:
Truthful reporting
Local voices
Community engagement
Independence from political and commercial influence
Our readers deserve journalism that respects their intelligence, speaks to their interests, and stands up for their right to be informed.
Who We Are
NewYorkCityFM.com was launched in 2024 as a response to the growing demand for focused, reliable, and independent local news coverage. As traditional print outlets scaled back their local operations, many neighborhoods in NYC lost their media representation. Our digital-first newsroom was born to fill that void.
We are an independent team of journalists, content creators, editors, photographers, and NYC locals who live, breathe, and report the stories of this extraordinary city.
